"Sorry, everyone -- Just IM-ing with Damon about script stuff...I'm in the
curring room right now (for a change) working on episode #14..."

"Ep. 14 is
Michael and Walt's episode -- coming along GREAT!  It was
written by
Fury and directed by Greg Yaitanes (the team that brought
you Sayid's episode)."

"Yes, we're planning a score CD (with
Michael Giacchino's music) as well
as a song CD (although we've only used 4 songs so far -- and one by
Drive Shaft, so we've got to find more uses first)..."

"Still here.  Still working without editor.  Starting to fall asleep."

"While all the songs are obviously not even close to final, if I were a betting
man, I'd say 'You All Everybody' will definitely be on there."

"But I am not a betting man."

"I've worked on all of the episodes.  Both LOST and ALIAS -- which is why I
haven't slept in months!"

"12:45 a.m. Burbank, California.  Walt Disney Studios.  Just finished
working on Act 3 (of 6) for
Michael/Walt's episode.  Signing off.  Love to
you all!  'Night!"

Saturday, December 18, 2004 (The Fuselage):

"Hi, all!  If I have to work on Saturday in the editing room -- I've decided to
drag all of you with me!  So hello from Ep. #13 of LOST:  '
Boone's'
episode."

"Editing is going good -- slow, but good.  We're fine-tuning it right now
(frame by frame) since I'm locking picture tonight.  All of the writers have
already taken off for the holidays, minus
David Fury who is in the middle
of writing his next episode '
Hurley's' story."

"Well, funny enough, we are actually going to have all of that on our DVD.
We have video footage beginning with the FIRST conversation we ever
had about the show with
Damon, JJ, etc.  (before one word of the script
was ever written) -- as well as footage from virtually every aspect of the
pre-production, production, and post-production."

"We have only had one 'official' meeting regarding the DVD release.  It will
of course have gag reels, behind-the-scenes, commentaries -- as well as
some special items we're discussing..."

"The DVD set for season one -- UNOFFICIALLY -- is for late summer/early
fall 2005. (I have to be at a Christmas party in 19 minutes, and I'm only half
way through this episode!)"

"Okay, all...Winding down in here -- finishing the LAST scene thank god!
Hope you all have a GREAT weekend..."

Thursday, December 16, 2004 (The Fuselage):

"It's 10:50 here in Burbank, I'm in a LOST editing room working on
Boone's episode -- entitled 'Hearts and Minds."

"Going great!  In the middle of Act 3 -- Boone flashback scene (you'll find
out why he was in Australia)..."

"
Boone's episode is #111...I'm not positive but I believe next week ABC will
be airing #102, 'Walkabout.'"

"What episode are they promoing?  13?  In house, the Pilot (as you know)
was split into two episodes, which we called episodes #100A & #100B --
which AIRED as the first two episodes."

"Well, re:  DVD...We had our first 'official' meeting today for the DVD
release, and everything we're talking about sounds awesome! (if I do say
so myself).  We have PLETHORA of behind-the-scenes footage and
extras."

"The next new episode (airing Jan. 5th) --
Kate's 2nd story ('Whatever the
Case May Be') is shot by
Larry, and his final episode with us will be two
weeks after that:  'Special' (
Michael and Walt's story)."

"There are occasionally heated discussions about the cuts with 'the suits'
(inevitable with creativity by committee) -- but usually we're all on the same
page.  Some cuts are 4 minutes over, some 10 minutes...And it's the
episodes that come in short that are the biggest problem, since we have to
shoot new scenes to make our time.  As for DVD extras -- the bloopers are
the LEAST of what we've got on record..."

"No
JJ tonight gang...Although he sends his love and thanks!  I'm about to
pass out myself -- finishing Act Three of '
Boone's' episode first..."

Wednesday, December 15, 2004 (The Fuselage):

"Yes, long hours tonight... Long hours EVERY night.  Worked on editing
three different ALIAS episodes today, working on two LOST episodes
tomorrow.  Oh, and sleeping somewhere in between..."

"We're in Burbank right now, not Hawaii.  All the writing and
Post-Production for ALIAS and LOST are done here.  Only the production
for LOST is on Oahu."

Thursday, December 2, 2004 (The Fuselage):

"I'm with Mary Jo, working on episode #110 (Kate's 2nd episode).  It's
great!"

"I'm watching the first cut of
Javi's next episode (#111) after lunch (the
script was GREAT -- so I have very high expectations...)"

"Hi all!  Bryan Burk here (producer #97) -- posting from Hawaii... Just
wanted to let you know that all the actors are excited about this site and
are planning to come on and post soon.  Thanks SO MUCH for watching
and have a wonderful Thanksgiving!"

"I'm in Oahu right now -- until Sunday -- although I spend 99% of my time in
Burbank."

"Well, the fuselage set we shoot on the north shore, the cockpit scenes
(for the pilot) we shot on the East side of the island, and our set (formerly
the Xerox building) we shoot on the West side of the island (just outside of
Waikiki."

"
Carlos was our production designed (we just hired a new one -- although
Carlos was GREAT!).  All the writing and Post-Production is done in
Burbank, Production in Oahu.
Jean Higgins is our (line) producer out
here, and
Jack Bender is our directing producer.  The two of them
oversee everything out here.  We were sending the writers out to produce
their own episodes, although lately, they've been staying in L.A. since we
need them in the writer's room and since everything's been going smoothly
(knock on wood) on the island."

"As we 'speak,' I am online with Burbank mixing the sound for next week's
episode (which is why I keep vanishing -- I have to watch scenes).  We just
finished editing the episode that airs 2 weeks from tonight (#109), we're
still editing #110, we're shooting #112, and tonight I'm going to read the
latest draft of #113."

"We have AMAZING writer's assistants:
Matt (Fury's assistant), Dawn
(
Carlton's assistant) and Rachel (Damon's assistant) are all brilliant and
are all writers.  We literally could not do this show without them.  And
Damon just called me...be right back..."

"Yes,
Carlos designed the caves..."

"No,
Mark Worthington was our production designer on the pilot.  Our
new production designer is
Stephen Storer."

"I have no idea about the re-runs.  I do know the DVD set is supposed to
come out in Sept. '05 -- although I'm trying to move that up."

"Which character...?  Well, I suppose I see a little of me in every character
-- but probably
Hurley the most..."

"Unfortunately, I have ZERO information about the DVD.  These talks have
just started, so -- as usual -- things are subject to change.  We still have to
finish writing (let alone, shooting) the second half of Season 1, so it'll be
awhile."

"I am involved with the music & songs for the show.  Which ties into:
Associate Producer/Executive Producer... On ALIAS, I am an Associate
Producer (this upcoming season, a Co-Producer).  Most of my work on that
show revolves around helping in the editing room and mixing the show
(score, songs, etc...).  On LOST, I am an executive producer, where I have
many more responsibilities -- as well as being the only non-writing
executive producer on the show."

"...thanks for your kind comments regarding the plane sequences.  We
spent a lot of time on the sound, so I'm sorry it's ruined your flying
experiences -- but that means we did our job right!"

"Thank all of YOU for posting, supporting and, most of all, watching!  Yes,
we feel very blessed to have found
Evi.  It was a weird moment when she
auditioned.  We knew instantly that she was something special...With
regards to the structure of episodes:  The writers have plenty of surprises
in store for us.  And as for
Claire's character:  Tune in a week...for one of
my favorite episodes so far..."
